Solid State Drives Worth it?

Are Solid State Drives worth it over normal Drives with Platters? Besides from the increased read-write times what else do they offer?

    i hear intel is making some new strides into solid stats that are helping ease the stress of video cards. look into it

    I believe that they are indeed worth the hefty price tag. I use one in my rig, and let me tell you, it is FAST. Plus the reliability of them is unmatched.

    They Read/Write faster, use less power, it takes more to break them since its all chips and no moving parts.

    solid state is awesome but in the end its too expensive to use on most things I really only use it for gaming and app's that take a little extra something

    If you have patience then they're not especially useful, unless you're in the market for a gaming PC or make your living with the computer.

    It would make your computer much faster by putting your OS on an SSD, or so I've heard.

    I have a SSD and it totally worth the price. My computer runs faster and smoother and it's really great when using Photoshop, 3DSmax or Maya.
